The Story

The O’Brien FreeStyle combo water ski is a great example of the bold graphics and bright colors that defined the golden era of water sports. With its cream-colored base and retro teal and pink racing stripes, this ski has that unmistakable vintage lake day style that feels right at home hanging in a cabin, boat house, or mountain inspired space.

Built by O'Brien Water Sports, a longtime name in American water sports, the FreeStyle was made for fun days on the water and the easygoing spirit that came with them. Like many vintage skis, it carries a few signs of its journey through time, but those little imperfections only add character and tell the story of a ski that was actually out enjoying the water.

Now retired from the lake, this ski gets a second life as a one-of-a-kind illuminated piece. Once the neon glow is added, the original colors and vintage graphics come alive in a whole new way. The scratches, fading, and sun-kissed details become part of the story, creating a piece that feels less like a decoration and more like a piece of watersports history.

A little retro, a little playful, and full of summer nostalgia — this O’Brien FreeStyle brings the lake house feeling wherever it lands.

Every piece comes complete with its power supply, dimmer, and hanging hardware. Pricing depends on your text and design choices — see it on the next step.
