The Story

These vintage Elan TM 500 Crown waxless touring skis are a snapshot of classic Nordic style from the late 1980s. With their bright white topsheets, teal branding, and bold purple/pink accents, they bring the perfect mix of retro design and mountain nostalgia.

Made by Elan in the Slovenian Alps, these skis represent a time when ski companies were combining thoughtful engineering with unforgettable graphics. The Crown waxless base gave skiers reliable traction without the mess of kick wax, making them ready for quick trail adventures.

For neon ski signs, cross-country skis have a unique advantage — they look best as a pair. Mounted together, they create a wider canvas and a larger surface area for the glow, allowing the original graphics and illuminated design to really stand out.

Like all vintage gear, these skis carry the marks of their journey. Fading, scratches, and sun exposure only add to their story and won’t take away from the finished neon piece. Once illuminated, those imperfections become part of the character that makes each sign one of a kind.

Every piece comes complete with its power supply, dimmer, and hanging hardware. Pricing depends on your text and design choices — see it on the next step.
