The Story

A throwback to the golden era of water skiing, this vintage Connelly Spirit Combo ski features classic 1980s design, bold graphics, and authentic American-made craftsmanship from Lynnwood, Washington. It reflects a time when Connelly was shaping water sports innovation and becoming a staple on lakes across the country.

With its geometric lettering, racing stripes, and retro color palette, this piece captures the feeling of long summer days on the water. Natural fading and sun wear from years of use add to its character and authenticity. Once illuminated with LED neon, these vintage details soften, allowing the original design and nostalgic charm to stand out beautifully.

Originally designed as a progression combo ski, the Spirit allowed riders to learn on two skis before moving into slalom skiing. Its fiberglass compression-molded construction and tunnel hull design offered a lighter, more stable ride than earlier wooden skis.

Founded in 1965 by Pat Connelly, Connelly Skis became one of the most recognized names in water sports, known for quality and innovation that helped define modern water skiing.

Now retired from the water, this ski is ready for a new life as a unique illuminated piece of lake culture and retro design.

Every piece comes complete with its power supply, dimmer, and hanging hardware. Pricing depends on your text and design choices — see it on the next step.
